When you donate items to our thrift store, the funds generated go to serving a wide range of local needs, from childhood education to senior housing, from behavioral health to supplemental food programs.
Volunteering really pays off!
All the proceeds from the store (that we aren't using to pay our bills and our outstanding staff) are distributed to participating agencies and programs that use us as a source of funding. When you volunteer at the store and log your volunteer hours. you can choose the agency, synagogue or program to receive your dividend dollars. We've given away more than $90,000 to the local community since we opened our doors!
Last year, one of the recipient programs, the Jewish Community Relations Council, earmarked all the proceeds from their volunteers to a community partnership with Habitat for Humanity. This "little thrift store that could" generated over $25,000 in funding and was the largest contributor to the latest Habitat build.
